For this week’s assignment, you will be analyzing a service based company and applying the concepts and theories discussed in the readings.  There is no set word count or page requirement; however 3 – 5 pages of content should be adequate to answer each question using relevant resources to support your conclusions.

The essay should be in APA format, 6^th edition, with a title page, in-text citations and a reference page.  An abstract is not required and should not be included.

Rewrite each question as a section header and answer each question completely, using relevant resources to support our conclusions.

Please go to the Dunkin’ Donuts web site at www.dunkindonuts.com.  Look through the web site and conduct additional research on Dunkin’ Donuts to answer the following questions.

1.  Would you say that Dunkin’ Donuts is product-oriented or customer-oriented?  Why?
 
2.  Discuss the environmental factors that have affected Dunkin’ Donuts, especially the competitive environment and the social and cultural environment.  How has Dunkin’ Donuts revised their marketing strategy to adapt to the changing demographic and economic environments?

3.  Do you think the economic recession has helped Dunkin’ Donuts gain in the coffee market against Starbucks? Why or why not? Use research to support your answer.

4.  What companies do you think Dunkin’ Donuts competes against?
